![]() ![]() If TeamViewer has been installed on the remote machine, even though the connection has been lost, TeamViewer will continue to run in the System Tray of the remote machine, so it can be reconnected to if necessary. If you are using the free version the following message will appear. As an example, the Start button will be pressed to show the Start Menu in Windows To finish the session, simply close TeamViewer. You can now operate the remote computer as if you were sitting in front of it. For this example, the connection will be made to a machine running Windows 10 with the ID Then press Connect to partner. Enter the Partner ID for the remote computer as shown below. ![]() Under no circumstances should they give these details to anyone they don't know. Whether using the installed program or the temporary access, they should let you know the ID and password for their machine. By clicking on the existing password they can either create another random password or use their own personal password. ![]() To do this, the person on the remote machine should go the TeamViewer website then scroll down and press the Join remote control session button. Alternatively, the remote machine can use the temporary access method without having to install TeamViewer. Operation To use TeamViewer, make sure that the program is running on the machine you want to connect to then start TeamViewer on your machine. If you install TeamViewer on other machines and created a TeamViewer account, you will be able to create a list of all the computers together with their connect details. This process can be repeated on the computers that you wish to connect to, or they can use the quick method shown below. Press Next then press Finish on the next screen and you are finished. Creating an account is optional, but is useful should you wish or need to access your computer remotely.
